Granite State Elite Girls LacrosseTHE LATEST GSE HEADLINESAug 12, 2007 Lake Placid, NY GSE’s inaugural college team beats Team USA/Northwestern combo team and finishes third out of sixteen teams at Lake Placid. In their first game GSE faced the DeBeer Golden Girls. Sponsored by DeBeer the team is made up of Team USA and Northwestern players including Sarah Albrecht and Kristen Kjellman. GSE’s offense was on fire and our defense was solid with Dartmouth star Julie Wadland shutting them down in net. GSE ran away with a 14-6 victory. Through 3 days of playing GSE lost only 1 game and in that game we were making a furious comeback as time ran out. The GSE team was organized by coach Tracey Drown and included coaches Carolyn Pollard, and Mckinley Curro along with other past GSE players and some of their college friends.
